One of the important factors to evaluate the quality of steel plate bonded reinforcement is the existence of empty drum.
The appearance of empty drum will have adverse effects on steel bonded reinforcement, and measures should be taken to avoid it in the process of steel plate bonding.
First of all, from the construction point of view to ensure that the bonded steel glue can form a uniform adhesive layer.
When steel plate is pasted in the plane position of beam bottom and plate bottom, the middle thickness and edge of glue layer should be thin; when vertical glue is used on columns and walls, the thickness of glue layer should be ensured. These two bonding methods can ensure that the colloid can form uniform thickness and reduce the possibility of empty drum in the process of applying curing stress in the later stage of steel plate.
On the other hand, insufficient glue content in bonded steel reinforcement will also lead to the emergence of empty drum.
In the code, the average thickness of the glue layer after bonding is 2 mM-3 mm. If the loss is not considered, the theoretical glue amount per square meter of steel plate is 0.003 cubic meters, does that mean that 0.003 cubic meters of glue per square meter of steel plate can meet the demand?
In fact, this is not the case. The thickness mentioned in the specification is the thickness of the adhesive layer after the curing pressure is applied to the steel plate. Under the action of curing pressure, the adhesive layer will be compressed. If the curing pressure is not applied, the thickness of the adhesive layer will be uneven easily by manual application. If the adhesive layer is too thin, it will easily lead to empty drum.
Therefore, in actual construction, the thickness of the adhesive layer should be increased appropriately in the process of coating, so as to ensure that the thickness of the adhesive layer is uniform and continuous when the curing pressure is applied, and to avoid the appearance of empty drum.
